“We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The one who made the promise is faithful.”-Hebrews 10:23, God’s Word Translation
What do you do when the going gets tough? Do you unravel? Does your faith in God sustain you through the storms of life? Today I want to encourage you to hold on to your faith in God and let go of the doubt and unbelief that attempts to defeat you. There will be times in your life when you will grapple with feelings of discouragement and frustration because what you believe God for seems so far out of reach. However, you must remember that God is faithful to keep His word. As a matter of fact, in Isaiah 55:11 God declares, “My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results, but it will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.” When God makes a promise he intends to keep it no matter how adverse the circumstances may appear. Therefore, we must be a people of faith that refuse to waver in the face of adversity, but through faithful determination we must rise and possess every promise that our God has made. Even if you’ve been knocked down by life you must dust yourself off and move forward. Too many people are waiting on you to share your gifts for you to give up now. The world is anxiously waiting for the people of God to come out of hiding and provide God-inspired solutions to their problems. Will you rise to the challenge? Why do you think it is so important to have a clear understanding of God’s faithfulness when you are going through tough times? Declaration: “Even when I am going through tough times my faith in God will not be shaken. I am confident that God will fulfill every promise that he has made to me no matter how the circumstances around me may appear. My God is a promise keeper!”
