We Are Carriers of the Greater Glory

“The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.” (Haggai 2:9 ESV)

Our greatest days are upon us. I know many of us have acknowledged a desire for the days of the first century church, Azusa Street Revival, Smith Wigglesworth and other landmark moments in the history of the kingdom, but you need to realize the glory to which you have been called. You weren’t born at the wrong time, but God caused you to exist at just the right time and now you must maximize every opportunity to make his glory known to the world. Today, it is your God-given responsibility to fufill your role as a carrier of the greater glory.

Stop saturating your spirit with thoughts of insignificance concerning what God is doing in the earth today because whether you realize it or not you have a part to play in all of this. Paul tells us, “For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship] (Romans 8:19 AMP)." There are multitudes of people waiting for you to manifest your destiny because their very lives depend on it. The glory of God revealed through you will make all the difference in the lives of all the suicidal, abused, rejected, and oppressed people in our world. This is not a job for the spiritual superstars of our day, but for the believer who knows who they are and has a heart to just minister faith, hope and love regardless of whether or not they become a household name.

If you are a fame chaser then you will never reflect the glory of God. Paul teaches, “We have this treasure from God, but we are like clay jars that hold the treasure. This shows that the great power is from God, not from us (2 Corinthians 4:7 NCV)." We are carriers of His glory and not our own because even Jesus told us, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5 ESV)." Today, abide in Christ and bear much fruit to the glory of God.
