Strength For Life

“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,” (Colossians 1:11 ESV)

Today God wants you to know that there is strength available for you to endure your present hardships, but you must access it by faith in God. Too many people speak of an inner strength, but if that strength is not of God then it is not strength at all. The psalmist declares, “God has spoken once, twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God (Psalm 62:11 AMP)." Even the psalmist admits that it is a fact as real and true as breathing. Do not underestimate the power of our God because your life depends on Him. In Hebrews we read, “He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high (Hebrews 1:3 AMP)."

If God has enough power to run the universe then he most certainly has enough power to keep your life together. I know things may seem like they’ve gotten worse instead of getting better, but God is still bringing you through your valley experience. Again the psalmist declares, “Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me (Psalm 23:4 AMP)." Many times we can tap into the strength of God as we cultivate an awareness of his presence because the truth is that even though it feels like God is gone, he actually never left. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that “He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5 AMP) Today let this word encourage you to live in the joy that accompanies the operation of God’s power in you because you’re going to make it.

Why is it important for you to realize that God is always with you?

Declaration: "Today I choose to rely on God completely no matter what comes my way. Since God is always with me I cannot lose. God gets glory out of my victory."
