“As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.”-Zechariah 9:11-12(NKJV)

Today God wants to you to learn to hope again. During the days in which we live hope is a necessity because of all of the negative happenings in our world. Even believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have began to give up hope and accept Satan’s lies, but this should not be so. We are called to share the hope that is in Christ and now it is time for us to rise to the occasion!

In Zechariah’s prophecy we are seen as “prisoners of hope” indicating that we should never be without hope even if in the midst of bad circumstances. We should constantly see beyond the gray cloudy skies and into the face of the Son. Instead of complaints our message should always reflect the hope that is in Christ Jesus and how he came to give us “abundant life”(see John 10:10).

Hope always looks beyond what has been taken away and it sees that better is on it’s way to us anyday now. If your home has been taken away through forclosure then a better home is on the way that won’t be a burden. If you lost your job then hope says a better one is on the way that you actually enjoy going to. If that person walked away from you then God is bringing divine connections into your life that will be a blessing not a hindrance. When God
restores then what He brings into you life this time is always better than what you had before.

Make this declaration: “I am a prisoner of hope. Today I receive the double restoration that God desires to bring into my life. In Christ Jesus, I am in covenant with God and so I receive the benefits of that covenant. Hope is positioning me for restoration.”
