"Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.””-John 1:50(ESV)
Get ready to experience “greater things” in your life. If you experience success then you’ll have greater success. If you’ve experienced healing then you will have greater health. If you’ve had a great marriage then you’ll have a greater marriage. If you are happy then get ready to experience greater happiness. You should always live your life growing from faith to faith and glory to glory. Mediocrity was never God’s plan for you, but his desire is that you would continually experience the greatness that he has put inside of you and that you manifest the glory of it for the whole world to see. As you do this it will bring God honor and people whether they believe or not will be compelled to give God honor. Just think about David in 1 Samuel 17 who as a shepherd had killed a lion and bear protecting his father’s sheep, but identified that the ability of God upon him(i.e. the anointing) empowered him to face a greater enemy in the form of Goliath, the legendary warrior from Gath. It was by acting on his faith that enabled to access the strength to lunge that stone from his slingshot into the forehead of the giant. David could have allowed the defeat of others become a paralytic for his destiny, but a child of destiny can not be stopped from pursuing what rightfully belongs to them. It is your birthright to receive the greater things that God has reserved for you to possess. With steel determination David faced the giant and actually prophesied what would happen as he stepped out the box of mediocrity( see 1 Samuel 17:45-48). Today we want to move into the place of greater things. I know that you’ve seen some amazing things in your life, but God still wants to put you in wonder because there are yet even greater things to be experienced. Look in your mirror and say, "Prepare for the greater things that God wants to show you and do through you!"
