The Reality of Forgiveness

“Happy is the person whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongs are pardoned. Happy is the person whom the Lord does not consider guilty and in whom there is nothing false.”-Psalms 32:1, 2 NCV

What would you say if I told you that in Christ you can begin again with a totally clean slate? Would you jump at the opportunity to have every wrong act ever committed up until this moment cleared off of your record? One day I was offered this opportunity and once I accepted it my life was made new. Today I want to encourage to give Christ your past and accept his future.

We’ve all done things that we would like to take back, but today Christ is saying we don’t have to take them back because he already did. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 and 21 Paul teaches us that,
“If anyone belongs to Christ, there is a new creation. The old things have gone; everything is made new! Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God.”

How awesome is that? Christ took the penalty for our crimes not only against humanity, but more seriously against God himself. In Romans 6:20-23 we are told,
“In the past you were slaves to sin, and goodness did not control you. You did evil things, and now you are ashamed of them. Those things only bring death. But now you are free from sin and have become slaves of God. This brings you a life that is only for God, and this gives you life forever. The payment for sin is death. But God gives us the free gift of life forever in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We have been giving not just life, but an eternally abundant life in all it’s fullness. Satan was the deceiver who kept us in slavery to sin and during our previous bondage he stole our opportunities at happiness, success and victory. John 10:10 states,
“A thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but I came to give life—life in all its fullness.”

Any existence outside of Christ can’t really be considered living because without Christ the fullness of life can’t be obtained. Even if you have a lot of material things, if you don’t have Christ then it’s all meaningless. Christ brought us true peace with nothing missing and nothing broken. In him we are now complete. Praise God forevermore!

How did you come to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior? How has this decision changed your life?

Declaration: “I am happy because my sins have been forgiven and all of my wrongs have been pardoned. The sin nature is no longer apart of who I am because I have been declared the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Because of Christ I am living life in all of its fullness.”

You Have What It Takes

“Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.”-Ephesians 2:6(MSG)

Do you realize that you have been chosen to live with a view from the top? Sometimes this seems a little unrealistic when we consider the difficulties that we face in life, but Romans 5:17 tells us that we are supposed to “reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ(NKJV).” We have gotten used to living under all sorts of pressures which has affected our health, stolen our joy and has caused us to create a false doctrine of suffering that will only end when one of two things happen either Jesus comes back to rapture the church or we die and end in up heaven, but I think that it is time for God’s people to develop some bold faith and turn the tide of every battle that we are facing in our favor.

First, we must come to understand that “he picked us.” Too many have allowed the rejection that they have experienced in life and may still be experiencing to blind them to the simple fact that God has chosen to accept you because he simply loves you. Once we understand that we are chosen then comes the understanding that spiritually we are seated in heaven “with Jesus” not below him or behind him, but “with Jesus.” Everything about your life in Christ is meant to go up from the point that you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior so any thoughts of inferiority or unworthiness are not the result of humility, but ignorance. The truth of God’s word tells me that I am a “joint-heir with Jesus Christ(see Romans 8:17).” As an heir I believe that it’s time for me to access my inheritance and live the high life in Christ.

Today, decide that it’s time for you to live the life that you were destined for where you overcome no matter how bleak the situation may look. Forbid depression from having any place in your life and permit the joy of the Lord to shine on you daily. Even if the sun is not high in the sky the Son is always up so happy days are still here again!

We Are Manifested Sons of God

“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19 KJV)

Where are the real “sons of God?” The original Greek text renders the word “manifestation” as uncovering. In other words, every believer with the Holy Spirit in them is a “son of God” whether they be male or female because “son” is general term that means child, but they must learn who they are according to scripture in order for their true identity to be uncovered. When a child of God is uncovered then they can begin to do as Jesus Christ did when he walked the earth of whom Acts 10:38 declares,“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”

When you know who you really are in God and what you are supposed to do, then you can stop wasting time and do some real good in the earth. You would have thought that Jesus’ disciples knew his true nature, but after he calmed the storm in Luke 8:22-25 they asked each other,“What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.” They evidently had no idea what an uncovered son of God was capable of and it blew their minds to see the supernatural power of God work through a flesh and blood person to control the weather like that. That same power is available to work through you, too. Jesus even said in John 14:12,“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” That’s right! You are anointed to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons and even control the weather, but you must have faith in God to make all things possible. (see Matthew 19:26; Mark 9:23, 10:27 and Luke 18:27)

Today let your faith rise to a level that makes the supernatural possible in your life on a daily basis. As you grow in your understanding of God’s word you will begin to operate as a child of God. Miracles, signs and wonders will become commonplace in your life. You will begin to go about doing good and healing all those that are oppressed by the devil it doesn’t matter if they are at the mall, your job, or even an entire hospital ward. You are a child of God and it’s time to awaken to your birthright. Arise, oh child of God! Arise!
